Bhindi ,okra or ladies finger is a very delicious vegetable .I like it fried and stuffed as well.I enjoy them with chapatis and rice as well. India is a land of of wide variety of fruits and vegetables .Potatoes tops the list of my favorite vegetable.I like it as french fries , gravy ,aloo dum , stuffed ,aloo chaat ,aloo biryani ,aloo tikia , aloo mutton curry and so on.They are no doubt my favorite but i avoid them as much as possible as i am very food concious and they have a reputation of quick weight gain after consuming.

I remember that there are several beans which are used in halo-halo (mixed fruits and others ingredients serve as dessert). There is also a bean sprout rolls (lumpiang toge) which are yummy and readily available at a local market and neighboring store selling snacks. I also remember a dish which main ingredient is mung beans (munggo) that is a usual lent season dish. We cook pansit canton (chinese noodles which probably borrowed from Guangzhou-or Canton, China) with snow peas (sitsaro). Another treat is adobong sitaw (string beans stir fried with soy sauce). I guess that beans is popular in the Philippines.
