Have you ever felt so exhausted? Feeling like no motivation of doing anything? People said to me that when I'm tired then I have to get a rest. But in life, sometimes there's no chance to rest. Things are seemed to be so tense and squeezing our hearts. But it's really too. If you're tied then you must rest, a little bit if you can is fine. We have to relax ourselve! Today I looked up to the sky and saw the light of the sun, shine on the could while the breeze was blowing to my face, seeing nice blue sky with a little of could which had shape like sand. Ahhhhh what a good feeling! I just realized that sometimes the things that make you feel better is just around us, just we have to to appreciate them. I was asking myself, how long didn't I look up to the sky? Since when I was so busy to forget to appreciate how beautiful the sky can be.

I get that way a lot of times. I just feel like I am drained of all energy. And don't want to do anything at all. My husband said it is because you don't slow down you are like a tornado L.O.L.

Hi Hubfee, You are right. we may be tired and exhausted but we do not have a choice but to continue with what's keeping us busy to earn for a living. we need to be creative in providing self-care. how can we move on with life and work if we are so burned out and can not anymore be productive. so, inasmuch as we want to keep on working we need to give ourself a break. we need a good stress management program for ourself. a simple one will do just to help us recharge energies and keep us sane.

Hi msfrancisco9369 It's really true that we must recharge the energies. Sometimes, life is Like a car that must refill the fuel so that it'll have power to move on. And can speed up to overtake other cars and overcome such a distance. How do you recharge yourself?

I do felt that. I was so into my work, i forget what life is about. Its not about working all your life, not pushing yourself to meet deadlines, not abiding to clients need. It most important that we know what we need. Now what we desire, relax and give a break to yourself. Enjoy what life is about. Be observative instead of participative. Do what you would never want to do, explore. You never now what lie ahead.

Your idea makes me get the feeling of "Reward ourselves and spend our life as worthy as we can." You're right! nobody knows what lie ahead.

Yes, especially when I feel really ill or life seems to be weighing me down All I wanted to do was hide away from the world, be alone and laze about not doing much, if anything at all. Thankfully though, it's very, very rare for me to be in such a depressing state

You're right, there are lots of beautiful things, right under our nose, and we always look soooo far that we cant notice them. I think what i need is not sleep or rest or laying down .I think i should try to think in that level where i would say..que sera sera, whatever will be, will be. Hello Hubfee, So true about not taking the time to stop and smell the roses. I too sometimes feel like I just cant do anymore. Thats when I stop and think about all the good that I have in my life. My family, my friends and that they are important to me and thats when I take time off. I just stop and do something else. Take a walk with my dog or read a good book or take a nice bubble bath. Then I feel energized to keep going.

About 20 years ago I caught a bad bout of 'flu and my energy was at an all time low for about 5 years. I was diagnosed as having post viral syndome and chronic fatigue syndrome that had been caused by the 'flu, so I am not stranger to tiredness. However, I have always practiced Zen meditation and through this illness, it has helped me tremendously. I get very little problems with over-tiredness these days, but often have painful muscles and joints. Most of us really need to learn that we have to slow down in life these days. _Derek

Hi Derek I have heard about Zen but never practiced myself. I hope your health will get better and better soon. Anyway since you're taking care of yourself well then I'm sure that you'll be healthy. Actually, it's a good thing to slow down so that we can easily keep conscious of what we do and we won't just forget. About your muscles pain, I think, gentle massage with some hot things or mental might help you. Aside form Zen meditation, I hope you do exercise too. My mother always told me to touch my toes while standing with straight legs for 5second a day. The first period I coundn't even reach the ankle. She said it's a very good move to stretch the body so the blood can circulate well.

I don't think that it takes being exhausted in our day to day life to realize the beauty of the things around us in our lives. I've been making a special effort this year to try to recognize things that I may have missed otherwise. It has been a great exercise for me too. There are so many things of beauty in this world tha we normally miss because we are too involved with ourselves. The greatest thing that I have seen this year is a beautiful ice formation on the side of a hill. It was absolutely stunning, but if I had been self absorbed I would have missed it.

What you experienced is true meditation and prayer. You are right we get so caught up in making a living that we forget to enjoy life. That is no good and sometimes exhaustion can be our friend and let us know when we are not paying enough attention to the lovely things the world has to offer. As long as your exhaustion led to your wonderful experience, then it should also be considered wonderful, as well.

hi greatsasuke exhaustion can be friend of ours you said. I agree without a doubt. Life is difficult but that also makes us appreciate life. The word wonderful from you remind me a song title "What a wonderful world" of Rod Stewart.

There was a time a few years ago, where I felt so ravaged and tired. I had the flu at the worst possible time. I could not stay home for long. I could only miss for about a day, and I had to drag myself out of bed, to get everything I needed to do done. It was during a time where I had classes where I could not afford to miss. Each and every day felt like a chore to get though and I had very little motivation to do my best. Just doing everything done. The weather warmed up shortly there after and I began feeling better, but that was quite the long week. It felt like six months.

Hmmmm I understand that feeling. The feeling of pain made the time moves slowly. I felt like in a day has a thousand hours and an hours has 10 thousand minutes. Whoa.....but when it passed and I just realized that time still moves fast and never wait for anyone.

i understand your experience. Sometimes in life we are so caught up that we forget to take time out and really take a good look and relate on life. Sometimes when we do stop and think things feel so strange and seem so different from what we last thought it would be. i have been through a similar experience like that before and i try my best from then not to make work get so caught up with me.
