I just heard the news the only 39.94% pass the NLE! Oh my gosh! This never happened and I'm about to graduate and I'm going to take the next NLE. 94k + took the exam and only 37k + pass the exam. Oh man that is very low and very horrible news for the new takers. I hope it is part of God's plans.

good for you nursing students and professionals that you get that high passing rate. For some professional exams they barely have 30% or lower especially Accountancy (that's a really tough one). Maybe, the PRC had to limit the passing rate at this because there are so many Nurses in the Philippines already and they have to control the boom of their population. You know, government agencies have a lot to do with the ratings and numbers. They have the final say. It's not only about the student passing the exam because they really have studied well, but also, the need of those professionals. Maybe it's time to highlight the other professions, nursing time is almost over.

I heard it too but the good news is the school from provinces are excelling in nursing board exam. We are also worried about my sister because she is graduating this March and she going to take the board. We are hoping that she going to pass the board and we can't afford anymore the second one if she going to failed.

well, i just hope the only smart ones passed.. i mean, come on! my friend had this colleague who ran the IV K+ alone (you all know it should be piggybacked), coz he was scared the patient might be over-hydrated.. so i was like, what about the heart?... and this guy passed the local board!.. what a pain.. honestly, its not about how smart you are in memorizing and get aces in class but its about how keen you are in observing, how you use your initiative and how you work in the field..

Well I guess CHED has to do something. It seems that there are many schools that sprouted because the demand had increase especially abroad. The monitoring of this non performing schools should be closed so that students would not enroll to this schools. I think the students and parents too should also try to choose the school they would be enrolling in.
