Nobody from basketball. Jordan is clearly the best of all time if you ask me. There is nobody with more skill and mental toughness than Michael Jordan had.

Yes it's true, nothing can be compared to him. But what I am trying to ask is who would be the number 2 at the least with regards to basketball greatness being Michael Jordan the no. 1 :)

It's a touch question. Can't really name one only so I will name a few. Larry Bird, Wilt Chamberlain, LeBron James, Kobe Bryant.

kobe has a long way to go to get to the level michael is. for all the controversies he's been through, he would have a hard time to get there. i mean, hes image has been scarred already. note: scarred. though its been healed, the damage has been done. he cant simply erase that. its not just about how you played the game, but also how you get others he excitement and respect to watch you outside/inside the game. the 2 MJ's we encountered in our planet are the two most iconic superstar that cannot be overcome by someone nor be dethroned. thay are like gods. if there is god of basketball, it would be MJ, at music it wold be MJ too. none as of today had the skills to overcome them. kobe will always be under the name of MJ. so near yet still so far. i had nothing against kobe, i mean hes great but MJ is far far more greater than kobe. doctor J may be next in line after MJ. and then reggie and then kobe.

Lebron James looks down on Michael Jordan

Height wise yes. I have to go with Kobe Bryant, I believe he is the second best player of all time and can possibly pass Michael Jordan as the Greatest player of all time when his career is over.

At this point in time it looks like the probability is very low. Not be cause he is not great but because he is flanked by the likes of Lebron James and Dwayne Wade. In addition to the personal controversies he was recently involved in. There is still time to change the public perception of his personality, it all boils down to how Kobe handles himself from here.

For me, it's either Kobe or LeBron James. These 2 guys are pretty dominating and got lots of quality moves and vintage styles. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for your response. Kobe and Lebron indeed are one of the closest candidates with regards to Michael's greatness.
