When you were a child did you have a bedtime?

I remember my mom telling me I better get to bed or I would be sleepy when she woke me up the next morning, but I never had an actual bedtime. Our agreement was as long as I could still function the next day, keep my grades up, etc. I could stay up as late as I wanted. It's not like it mattered, though. I had a sleeping problem when I was a kid. Most of the time I couldn't go to sleep when I wanted to! I doubt any of that would have changed if I had a set time to be in bed.

hi java wow am I getting antsy,been fighting mylot for an hour just trying to load responses. yes I had a bedtime when I was a kid about nine o clock, and I used to rebel but it did no good. My parents were also strict. It was sometimes light outside and my did I want to go out and play.but I guess they really did know what they were doing. I was always such a tomboy and so active. but I was a bit more lenient with myown children.

We sure did, and it was 9 o'clock. Once I was in high school, I could stay up until 10 o'clock. There was no talking about it. You had better be there at that time.

Well, not an official bedtime. I think my parents expected to me in bed by a certain time. I was normally in bed by about 9 or so at the latest. I never could stay up late. I have a feeling that if I was the type of child who stayed up late, some type of bedtime would have been enforced. However, I think the time I normally went to bed, so nothing was said.

I don't really remember myself having a bed time per say but I do remember the younger siblings having a bed time. I think since I was the oldest I did not have a bedtime because I was left to do the cleaning up after meals etc. I was usually tired and went to bed on my own early enough.

No. I didn't have a bedtime. I would stay up watching TV till I feel like sleeping.
