How can you make money selling on these sites? Everything I thought I could sell there, they already have a bunch of people selling the same things. How do you find different and unique things to sell. I am not a crafty person, so making anything and selling it is out of the question. Is there any other sites like these that you could sell on?

Sometimes selling things that are already being sold is good, as long as you have the best price for it. For example, right now I happen to be looking for a V.tech Vsmile baby system. There are probably about 15 that I've found so far, but the determining factor for which I might buy is the price. I'm obviously not going to spend $50 to get something that I can get for $20. Of course, what that means for you, the seller, is that you would make less money off of it. Of course, it's hard to find truly unique things to sell. If you do some sort of craft or handiwork then that might be a good route to take. My grandparents did woodworking that they sold once on ebay and they made a decent amount off of that one and that seemed to go well. There are a lot of people that crochet and quilt and sew, too, that can make money from that. Or just doing small handicrafts, even, might be a good way to go.

Thanks for the advice. I do wish that I had something unique that I could make and sell, but I am not that talented.

There are many other websites that you could sell from, but I doubt they would have the volume of browsers that Ebay and Amazon have. The web traffic that they get has to be worth something. Yes people are probably already selling what you plan to sell but this happens all the time.Either you find a supplier so you can do a better deal than your competitors or you move on. What you have to do here is concentrate on what you know and are comfortable with. You say you are selling stuff but I don't know what it is.You also mentioned you were not a crafty person,so why not concentrate on your knowledge. What do you know about? Is it valuable? Maybe you have an information product in you that would interest fellow like minded individuals or a blog perhaps. Searching for other sites to sell from is not getting away from the problem that there's others selling the same things. You will find this on other sites too.
