Most of us as we are raised in our family are raised into a particular religion. For me as I grew older I no longer agreed with that religion and their definition of "God". So, for many years now I have been lacking in my spiritual part of my life. I am sure I am not the only one in this world that this happened to. My question is then how do you find out what you do believe in? Do you go to different places of worship seeing what you can most agree with and convert to that religion? Or what? That to me almost seems rude to the people there, but maybe I am looking at it wrong. What are other people's experiences and thoughts about this type of situation?

In our religion, it is stated that our faith goes up and down. You may right now, encounter the downs in your faith. There is advice given from God to us regarding this matter. If you look at the sky, it was built without any pillars, right? Even the hummingbird, which can fly even though it's wings are small. These and many more, are proofs of the God's existence. That alone should prove enough to me that the religion I'm in right now is the right one. If you really want to find out what you believe in, you can do so without changing the religion you are in right now. You can do some observation, and do some readings related to the religion (make sure the source is authentic, like the books used in the religion). If God wants to show you the path, He will guide you to Him. Many people actually converted to our religion just from reading our Books. They found similar facts in our book which confirms their researches. Most of these people are scientists. They become faithful servant of God. He's the Greatest.

I was raised in the religion of my parents also, and as I grew older I finally walked away from it. In studying alternate beliefs, I found that religion and spirituality always clash, because religion teaches you to follow the rules of the Church, and Spirituality encourages you to think for yourself. This finished me on religion because I've always had my own ideas, and thoughts. I decided to go by what I believe, rather than the Church's Theology. There are many alternate belief systems out there! Check them out at your local library, book store or on the internet.
