In your travels, have you visited the Statute of Liberty or the Liberty Bell?
I have visited the Liberty Bell twice, I have not been to the Statute of Liberty as yet. Did you climb to the crown in the Statute of Liberty?

I have been to both the Statute of Liberty and the Liberty Bell...both on the same trip to the East Coast in 1989. AND I was lucky enough to climb to the crown. I hear it's now nearly impossible to climb to the top of the Statute, but I'd like to do it again someday.

On that particular trip, I saw and found a ton of interesting things to do. Some of the interesting: the Statute of Liberty is in NJ, not NY; Wall Street is as wide as the alleyway behind my old house; (how about this one for a dumb Westerner) Broadway Theater isn't a theater, it's a street with a bunch of theaters on it; and you can bring Boston traffic to a complete stop when you get caught in a "circular"!

...Hi again hofferp, New York and New Jersey had a long running feud over the ownership of the area where the Statute sits, how they resolved it I don't know.
That's very interesting about the size of Wall Street. I think, if I remember correctly, they say they used to drive cattle down Wall Street a long, long time ago. Thanks for all the information on everything.
Take it easy.
