can man and woman be true friends?

it is only love that can exist between man and woman, but not friendship, isn't it? a girl friend of mine has proved that: she had a male friend who was treated as the true friend of hers, and she didn't feel love him at all, but only best friends. one day the boy expressed his love to her, which made the girl feel so sad.
do you believe the friendship between man and woman?

I believe a straight man and a straight woman can be true friends because i have a female friend who i have known for 5 years.
I trust her with my life, we can talk together about everything, we've been out of pubs and clubs together. I can tell her things that i dont fell i can tell some female friends.
She will always give her own true opinion on any problems or dilemma i may have.
There is no romantic interest on either side, but a bond and a great understanding of each other.

In my opinion, of course that a man and a woman can be a true friends!
I have male friends, and i believe in their friendship.
I am sad when i see, that some people, do not believe they are just friends and nothing more.

I think so. Because men and women will not envy to each other because they are quite different. Try to imagine, two men may compete the careers. Two women will compete the appearance and so on. When a man and woman to be friends, they are sincere to each other and this is why they can be true friends.

Yes, I believe that a man and a woman can be true friends, and purely platonic. I have some male friends with the same profession as mine, and same interests in life. We may not hang out in the same manner as with female friends, but we connect on a certain level with our emotions, our ideas of fun, and relationship issues. It's normal for us to give a hug or put an arm on one's shoulder. But it is different if you turn your friend to a lover. Quite a risk of not having the person in your life at all.

Yes why not. If the Dog and Man became friends why not man and woman.Only that sometimes it will result into the development of more serious relationship and both parties should be ready for that cause sometimes one party might be in love and the other is not.

I believe in the friendship between a man and a woman, I have many male friends.
My partner use to be my best friend, in fact he still is, we use to share everything and a few years later we fell in love, now we been together for about 5 years and we are very happy. I must say, because we were friends to start with our relationship is just stronger.
