Problems with my friends.

I've been under the influence by my friends, and I've find that the closer I get with them, the closer and harder it gets to quit the habits. The thing is I've known them for a long time, and I know that they're good friends, it's just a phase in which most teenagers take. I want to keep hanging out with them, but if I do, I might get addicted to the things that we do. I've smoked for about a week, and I can't keep it off my mine, I've currently didn't have a cigarette for about a month, but I know once I get a chance, I would probably do it again. My question is: Do I wait for them to quit too, and just hang out with them, or do I make new friends, and stay away?

If your new friends have some other habits you want to quit, will you leave your friends again? are you willing to keep making new friends and leaving them in your whole life?

I can only give you some advice, but in the end the choices are up too you. To have friends are wonderfull, but to be like your friends is not fair. You are your own person, make you own decisions and know what is wrong and right. If you do not want to do thngs they do, and they have a problem with it, leave them. They sound like they will get you in trouble. Yes, teenagers takes chances, that's what they are suppose to do, but to wait for them, to quit, you will be grey and old by that time. Hope that was helpfull. TATA.
