If you could choose, what music would you want playing at your own funeral?

Well one song I have said I would love played when the time comes is one of the uplifting songs that Daniel O'Donnell sings a lot You Raise Me Up! The song is so uplifting and I find a comforter too. Not thought of any others at the moment lol Guess I will as some stage though Lynn-Marie

I'll have to make a mental note of D. O'Donnell. I love inspiring, uplifting music. So, thanks for sharing this. Just out of curiosity ... his name is obviously Irish, is the music Irish as well?

Hello Zamm13, Thank you for your thoughts on this. Wow, I must be really out of touch, because I don't know who Jeff Buckley is. The name sounds familiar, but I'm drawing a blank. Anyway, hopefully we'll all have many, many years to ponder this question. Thanks again!

Hi Jend80, Sadly, I'm not farmiliar with Joy Division - Atmosphere. What type or style of music is this considered? I was kind of leaning toward a bit of bagpipes, followed by a rousing choir of music befitting and Irish Wake

I can see, or rather hear that, as well. Perhaps Vivaldi's Winter?

Thank you for your input Aya_emmy. I'm not familiar with 'Chemical Romance', or the particular 'Milli Vanilli' song, but I'm sure they would be fitting, since they're of your choosing.

This is a lugubrious question! I do not have idea and I frankly do not want to think about it.

Whitefox, Thanks for sharing your point of view. Although some would agree with you about it being too dismal a subject, it's clear that most of the other responses seem to approach the issue other than mournfully. Both approaches to the question are valid. Thanks again!

I know a lot of people have these things all planned out, but it's not something I've really thought about. I am torn whether to leave it all to the ones that survive me, or to plan it out myself. It was fun reading the various responses here.
