My friends have you heard of deep freeze? It is a software the helps eliminate PC damages as what the site claim. What it meant that its going to protect your computer no matter what by restarting to a former working state. It reboots to how you configured your computer and any new files or programs installed the "Freeze mode" computer would be automatically deleted the next reboot. Many internet cafes here uses this program but this concerns me.. Does it really protect the PCs? I mean if it does protect them then why do they always do reformats and some internet cafes I've been with some units crash into blue screen or most. Does deep freeze take up memory space?

I don't like using deep freeze because it sort of makes your computer forget everything that its down after it shuts down. Sort of having anterograde amnesia--the inability of the brain to turn short term memories into long term memories. You can't save new documents, add new programs etc. You have to unfreeze it first before you can do that again. Instead created an image of my hard drive and update it from time to time.

Deep freeze is good. Almost 3 years I use deep freeze and nothing happen. If you do only freeze C drive (this only C drive which is frozen), be sure to check all drives. You have to change it to thawed and scan your disks.

Hi nykel88! I had been using Deep Freeze on my desktop PC for 2 years now. It's good in terms of protecting your PC from viruses. However it has some disadvantages. You can't save documents or other settings if your PC is in freeze mode, but when you thaw it, you can but making it vulnerable to viruses. An anti-virus is still needed to scan your PC again. Me, I install an anti-virus after thawing then if I am ready to freeze it, I scan my pc first then remove the anti-virus. It is quite a hassle but it works great for me. Another disadvantage is that you can't use system restore, if you do, your system crashes. And also you can't change the time anymore. I think the CMOS is damaged even if I change a new CMOS battery. It does not take up a big memory space it's just a small file. Happy mylotting!

Oh? I can't use the system restore anymore? That is sad but thanks for the information. I'll stick to my kapersky for awhile. I haven't been attacked yet and I trust my anti-virus so its going to be okay. ^^

Deep Freeze is a software th provides immediate immunity from any problems that is within your computers today. It is a program that makes your computer reboot at a certain state you choose. That is why it is called Deep Freeze. It freezes your computer to the exact time. It is like your making a back-up but then it only reverts to its freeze state.
