Some sites ask for your original mobile number for some purpose! Do you really disclose your mobile number? Well, in my case, I try to google and see what kind of site it is and then I proceed to give then mobile number! That too, I give my business phone and not my personal! Ha HA! What about you?

It's always a good practice not to give your personal information on the internet, unless of course if it is secure. Whenever a site asks for my phone number and I can't find any good reason why, I just give out a fake number.

I never give my real phone number, i always give a false number lol, except for serious sites like e-currencies (Paypal, Moneybookers)... My real phone number is only for "administratives" sites because i don't want to receive spam on my mobile.

I don't give my personal number to any of the sites as they are not secured and if they take my mobile number then anything they can do with it.It is better not to give your numbers if it is mandatory then give a number but it should be different from the one originally with you for now.

If I don't trust the site then I won't give out my information. If it is a legit and secured site then maybe I'd give my details and my mobile number. You can never trust sites this days. Hackers are lurking around waiting for someone to take the bate.
