Is WWE real or fake?

I am "A World Wrestling Entertainment" (WWE) fan. I always wonder how the WWE superstars bear the pain during the match. Sometimes I feel that it might be fake and sometimes I feel it's real. When I ask some body few people tell that it is real, some tell it is fake and some tell the story line is already prepared but they get the punches and slams to show the audience that it is real. I don't know what to believe. Currently I'm a bit believing that it is a story based and they get punches to show people. Can any one remove my confusion and give a correct answer which won't bring me to another confusion? Your response will be really appreciated,. Thank you, have a nice day.

I out it this way. If you are a fan any explination is good enough and if your not a fan then no expliantion is good enough. If you are a fan watch and enjoy. Don't worry about if it is fake or not. But just remember this.....Leave the matches to the professionals and do not try it at home.

Excellent reply. One too many people are calling wrestling fake in a bad way these days. How can you judge something you've never tried before? But then again I wish we had the attitude era.

It is obviously sports entertainment. The punching the suplexes are all well, choreographed. It does not how ever mean that it isnt dangerous and does not take any skill. Try to imaging the amount of athleticism some of these wrestlers have. or the pure strength. There is a reason why anyone cannot be a wrestler and there are so many wrestling schools all over the world, and that platform is no joke, hurts like hell when you fall on it. You would never know how difficult something is unless you try it for yourself. There is a good documentary on wrestling by Loius Theroux, suggest you checking that out. It will give you some hint to what the actual product is. Rather than say fake, I like to call it scripted.

It's fake. Hulk Hogan was feature on Hollywood True Stories and he mentioned that. I've been comparing UFC and WWE and it seems so different. In the former, you see fighters getting knocked out with one punch; in the latter a barrage of punches don't do damage sometimes. I've been trying to figure this out myself. For example, in some cases, with Triple H's Pedigree, the opponent doesn't even hit his head on the canvass but gets knocked out. I think the same is true with Undetaker's Tombstone. And I can't even imagine why a Spear would hurt. Although some moves must really hurt even if it's all scripted. A Powerbomb looks like it'll hurt you. Read about it in Wikipedia a couple of years ago. When they're in acting mode, I think they call it Kayfabe. Some wrestlers get penalized because they break from the script. Check it out too. It's very interesting. But hey, who cares if it's fake? I still like it when the smash each other with chairs and when the Divas seduce each other.
