Toddlers eating junk foods more likely failing at school. Which we also experienced with our little brother when he was 7 years old because he likes eating junk foods and soft drinks. That time we didn't know that junk foods and soft drinks has a big part of not being healthy of my brother that time. But now we know we just let him eat junk food once a month or even none. Is your child eating junk foods? What do you noticed about their performance in school?

Hi Health,
I refrain from giving or buying junk foods for my kids. i tried my best to educate them about the bad effects of junk foods. good that their school has a policy of "no to junkfoods". this re-enforces our rule at home. with the right kind of nutrients that they are receiving from the daily intake or meals make them so enrgetic and active in school.

I don't have toddlers, but notice many in shopping centers eating junk food, and in most cases the parents are obese. These kids have little hope of maintaining a stable weight.

My brother before eat junk foods too, that is why he was a slow learner, even when talking in a right grammar he can't. He mean something but the real meaning is in the opposite. Like we he will said, I already sleeping in the night, what he really means is he slept last night. You can't understand him clearly, that is why he always experienced being bullied. Of course I was the one who defend him. When he was in grade school we include vegetables with his meal so that we can help him to be not a slow learner. Junk food from the word itself is a waste food. You can eat it but do not just eat it alone, a child have to have vitamins and food supplements so that it still supplies a nutrients that needed for their body.

Not sure how true this is. It probably will different from child to child and their activity level. I know as a child we were not restricted on what we could have a snacks and junk food; and I did pretty well as I was an honors student and on the honor roll. If your brother is natually hyperactive then the sugars in the junk food are what was probably doing it as they would make him less able to focus and increase his hyperactivity. Sweets & junk food in moderation should be ok as long as he has a chance to burn off some of his excess energy.
