I personally think that no parent should buy their teenage children a car or motorcycle, while still at school. They do not obey any traffic rules or regulations, they reff and spin those poor things as if their lifes depend on it. Actually most of them are only a nuisance. I think that only persons 18 and older shold be allowed to have a car or motorcycle and then, with a legal license, not a learners. What do you think?

to be honest I don't see the issue with kids say at 16 having a car, they will have a car at some point in their lives if they want one. I also think its a very stereo typical view and a generalisation that you say that they are nuisances, I know a lot of young drivers (learners) who are just pleased to have a car and its their pride and joy and they drive sensibly, I also know some 40 year olds who act as if they are rally drivers so I don't think you can really generalise, Though I do agree that the engine and performance should be limited for newly passed drivers no matter what age they are.

You know, i was a teenager as well, and i did most of what they did, but really most of our accidents in our city are caused by recklesness from teenagers. It differs in countries, i know. But i think that they should consider a law like that. And yes, i see a lot of adults, who are even worse than teenagers. TATA.

I think it depends on the child. I knew quite a few 16 year old kids who were very responsible drivers. They also had after school jobs that they needed to get to so having a car was needed. I think there are a lot of bad teenage drivers, but there are also a lot of bad drivers period. I don't think kids should have a brand new car even if they are the most responsible kid, but a second/third/forth hand beater would be a good learning experience for them.

You will not buy these teenagers an old car, that i can promise you. Most of them are spoiled rotten and they demand the best. Seriously, i kid you not. Maybe their parents should consider bicycles. TATA.

I don't agree with you. Life is so crazy these days, and some families have 3 or 4 kids who all go to school. If you have one kid that is old enough to get a license and can drive it takes a lot of burden off of the parents because they don't have to take everyone to school and home and where ever else they need to go. It is just easier for the parents if someone can take a little bit of responsibility. I know a lot of young kids to take the responsibility of driving seriously, but then again I also know a lot who don't it depends on the kids. The ones who aren't responsible will get stopped and they will know.

I agree, a bit of help from a responsible teenager is a great thing. But unfortunately, not all of them are that dependable. TATA.
