Have you heard? Personal Branding, resume writing

So, in the research I've been doing of late, it would seem that the "personal brand" is taking the place of the "objective". It was quite a while ago that it was standard to put an objective on a resume, but there was nothing that replaced it when it went out of style. I believe that the Personal Brand is now taking its place. Do you know your Personal Brand? Do you know what it is? I'm not even sure myself. To the best of my reckoning, it is a statement of "who you are" in the corporate world...but I don't know who I am... How does one nail down their personal brand? I look forward to your responses. Please think carefully before responding to actually answer the question.

Resumes are not my thing, but I think personal branding in this sense would be to tell what you can do and to maximize our strengths, regardless of the type of work you have done. I keep trying to think of examples to explain what I mean, but I can't. Think of things like whether you enjoy working alone or whether you can find ways to promote ideas.
