Kicked out of the Indian reserve if you're not an Indian??

Some call them First Nations, some call them Natives, but they refer to themselves as Indians most of the time and NO they're not from India but tribes who have been here in Canada from the beginning. They live on reserves and theres one not far from where I live at about a 40 min drive. Its a very nice place to live in and you dont have to be an Indian to live there. Apparently this is about to change now. Residents living on the reserve received a letter today TELLING them they have 10 days to leave. Some have been living there for years and years, they own houses. What would you do if you were asked to leave your place of residence in 10 days?
