Have you dated someone you regretted dating?

I did. I dated this guy to give me a chance to get to know him better. I was beginning to like him before, but I got so turned off on our first official date. I tried to be polite but I guess he misunderstood and thought that I like him back. Days after, he kept bugging me for another date, to hang out with him, and to keep sending him SMS messages. He was so persistent that I had no choice but to change my number because he can't seem to understand that I really don't like him.

Actually, he's a perfect gentleman and we do have some things in common. I got turned off because he is a strong smoker. And it seems as if he have no control over this bad habit. Before we went out, I met him several times but with a group. And we kept constant communication through SMS. It's only during our first official date when I noticed his smoking habits. I regretted dating him because he became so persistent after that. He sent stalker-type messages. That's why I changed my number. And regretted ever dating him.
