Have You Ever Woken Up With A Big Fat Zit On Your Nose?

I'm 43 years old and I still get spots, zits, break-outs, whatever you want to call them lol. Yesterday I decided to put some make-up on (shock, horror). I wasn't going anywhere but it just made me feel better. Well, today I wish I hadn't bothered because I looked in the mirror and there was this hideous, massive, red spot glaring at me like some sodding beacon! I made the mistake of popping it of course. SPLAT! Hehe lol. I will try to leave it alone and let nature take over. I'm not going to fiddle with it anymore, it will only make it spread. Life is so much easier for those who don't have to suffer these horrendous red mounds on their noses. Anyone else having the same bad luck as me?

So you've never had one then? Not one spot, ever? Lucky you!

No, not at the end of my nose. I have had a few spots on my face from time to time, but very, very few. I've never really suffered from acne, but can sympathize with those who have. To this day I hardly ever get one, if any at all. Growing up; my folks would not allow me to eat too many sweets, for this particular reason. Having the occasional candy bar was O.K., providing I didn't over do it...say, in a months time or so. Soda pop, cakes, cookies, ice cream, Easter chocolate, and Halloween treats etc., were strictly regulated. So by the time I reached my teen years, my face was basically as clear as the day I was born. My other teen aged friends were not so fortunate, and many of them went through pure h*ll. Today, if one ever "does" occur (which like I said is very rare), I simply pop it immediately, and then let it heal....takes about a couple of days. I wash my face regularly with a mild soap having no perfume additives, and this is what I believe helps keep them at bay; since I do indulge on sweets once in a while. For all those who DO suffer from this "nightmare"; all I can say is: Wash gently, and take care of yourselves by watching your sugar intake...and also become aware of those things that you may be allergic to. Use only those medications that either your doctor or pharmacist recommends. Sincerest wishes; cdrxo

Yep and at 37 it's a bit annoying, although thankfully any spots I get rarely break out on my face which is something I suppose. It's been worse for the last month because of an epidural I had at the start of the year which always causes me a huge increase of spots, not just the small ones but those hard ones which struggle to break through the skin. I do wonder why we get such pleasure from popping them even though we know we shouldn't, lol.

That's alright it's an injection around the spine to help stop the pain, except it's not always very effective, or not at all in my case, lol.

I can't say that I haven't. I know that I have had a zit on my nose when growing up. I have awaken to many types of zits on my skin. I am 31 and I still experience acne. But, it is only mild because of my hormonal changes in my female body. I don't like having zits or any kind of acne. I will usually just let it go away on its own.. And if it leaves a brown spot, I will take some cream and apply to it so that the spot can fade. I had zits when I was a teenager. But now, my skin is very clear with less zits. I just will take a warm to hot cloth and I will hold it on the zit/acne doing this, will reduce the swelling and inflammation of the bump.

I had terrible problems when I was younger because I just wouldn't leave my face alone. Because of this I do have faint scars, especially on my chin through incessant picking! I've learned my lesson the hard way but spots nowadays don't last very long, thankfully.
