How do you feel when someone call over phone, when you are in deep sleep?

I feel little irritated when someone called me when I was sleeping. But not that much. I will try to speak with them. However, person on other side will find out that I am sleeping with my speech itself. And then, they will call after some time. So, what you feel when someone called during your deep sleep?

My first thought would be to see how far I could throw the phone and see where it would land. Second question would be is it still in tact? While I think those things I don't actually do them. Instead, I simply answer, but quite often my irratation is heard through the phone. So yeah a lot of times the person on the other end feels gulity for calling me. I often get one friend who calls who says 'did I wake you?' if she calls at certain times of day.

ha ha! I got this question 'did I wake you?' from many of my friends. Sometimes, even when I am awake, they are asking me this question.

If I want to sleep then I turn the phones off. If someone phones and it is on then it's usually me who is very apologetic. It wasn't their fault surely as they weren't to know that I was asleep. These days I can't turn them all off as I am expecting an important call any day now so I shall just have to put up with being woken - though I don't sleep much so it doesn't happen often

There's a local saying here that says you can fool around with a drunk, but never on someone who just woke up. And I believe that to be true. I have never seen a person who jumped for joy after being roused from a very deep sleep. One time, I dreamed of answering a phone call by my BF who wanted to greet me a Happy Birthday at 12 AM. When I saw him the next day he was laughing at me because he said I was mumbling senseless things over the phone that night. I had no idea that the phone call was real, and that I did answer him.

If it's for something completely unimportant and it could have waited until a more suitable hour, then sure I will be annoyed, after all, I'm only human. However, I will hide my anger and try to have a civilised chat with the person on the other hand, until they start keeping me up for ages, in which case I will put the phone down or say I need to go as I am getting really tired

Its kinda disturbing when its not an urgent call or not so important person. I easily get mad when I am awakened with my lucid dreams. And it turned out to be a worst mood when I can't back to sleep.

i hate getting woken up by the phone. i am a horrible sleeper and it takes me forever to get to sleep so if i am woken up, it takes me forever to get back to sleep!

It really doesn't bother me too much. Unless I am having a good dream. Then I feel like I wanted to know how the dream ended. And I am probably a weird person but when they asked if they woke me I will say "No, no I was just laying here I wasn't sleeping" Even if it is 3 in the morning I would probably say that. But I do think that people should have the courtesy to try to call at decent times so that people can get a good night sleep.

I will absolut feel irritated. I kind person need sleep, if anyone wake me up, I will be angry, and sometimes in the moring when I just wake up I can not talk to anyone. But I will not yell at the person who call me, just talk with them as normal, of course my voice will be different because I still sleepy, so the conversation will be very short.

I will definitely get pissed off when someone calls me while in deep sleep. If the person calling me is from the same place . meaning we have the same time zone, the more I will get pissed. But then, if someone calling is from somewhere else, I will tell him directly what time he is calling.

It feels annoying to answer a call knowing that it's an emergency call even if it's not.lol Tho as much as I can hear my phone ring, I will still try to answer it.. After all, I can go back to sleep easily..

I will attend the call only if it is some special person. I would not pick up the phone if a common friend called me. In fact, I keep my cell phone in silent mode which would not disturb me at any cost. I also advice you to keep your cell phone in silent mode when you are sleepy.

Yeah, my husband has a rule and tells everyone, no one call between the hours of 9pm and 6am. I used to take calls all different hours, but unless there is a real emergency, there really is no reason for it. It just robs you of sleep and productivity.

hello avimra! of course initial reaction will be irritated but i think i will also feel nervous if the call comes in the middle of the night...coz maybe its something emergency or what and so i will also feel a bit nervous & puzzled. so i guess depends on the reason why they call me...if its something important then i its fine but if its not, or its just something petty, for sure i will be annoyed and they will know it base on my tone... i hate it when my sleep was disturbed coz i don't usually get a good sleep. and besides sudden wake up cause me headaches!

When I go to bed, I will switch off my cellphone immediately. So, if someone still try to call me through home phone in the midnight (I sleep after 10 pm), I'll feel very shock. It will meant a serious thing. Anyway, have a nice day. Best wishes,

I like to turn my phone off when I am sleeping at night but I don't do it during the naptime at noon because I don't want to miss some important things. So at that time,it would be OK if someone call me for something urgent. But if someone just call me for chatting or other trivial matters,I would get annoyed easily and may yell to hie/her.Lol.
