The Lunar New Year is coming up this February on the 14th which is on the same day as Valentine's. This year it will be the year of the tiger. He is the third animal of the Chinese zodiac. He depicts bravery and helps protect the home from fire, thieves and ghosts. As he is fearless, he also can be selfish. Do you know your Chinese zodiac and what is it's traits? Do you believe in those traits?

My Chinese Zodiac would be the OX...though I'm not really that familiar with its trait. So if your familiar with the traits, then it'll be nice if you could enlighten me. lol.

Well let's see, my dad's one as well =) You're a natural born leader, methodical and tend not to be fanatical about politics, instead you like to keep it balanced on the thoughts. :) So do those traits apply to you?

My Chinese Zodiac is Ox. I don't remember what the Ox traits are, although I did read about them before. But I do remember that some of the traits do suits me and does indicate of who I am. My boyfriend zodiac is TIGER. And yeah, he is fearless.. I feel safe when I am with him. I get the sense of protection from him. So I guess Tiger trait suit him right.

I just read yesterday that one of ox negative trait is stubborn, then I think that it might be right. Most of the time I don't like being told what to do. lol... While one of the Tiger negative trait is hot-temper...well what more can I say, my boyfriend is one of them.

I'm a rooster. I never really paid attention to the traits, but I just read about them now. Some of them make sense. I especially like this part: Roosters are the most eccentric of the Chinese zodiac :-)

LOL, my sister is a rooster and yes there is eccentricity in her but also creativity of which I'll have to admit without, she's just not the rooster :)

Interestingly, in Western Astrology Ariens (me) aren't supposed to get along with Virgos (husband) BUT in Chinese Astrology I am a Horse and hubby is a Dog and I read somewhere that they are extremely compatible. Is this true? Nice discussion topic by the way.

Yes, dogs are man's best friend and the horse is one of the animals who have a very strong sense of pride, with the dog who is supportive and always watching your back, you both make a great pair in life as well as battle :)

I am sheep of whom I at first did not believe in the traits because c'mon they're just speculation but as I got older, it begins to seem true. I guess I'm a believer. I am honest and tend to be minding my own business as a sheep does ;P. I married a cat so he's the frisky one =)
