Personally I want Noynoy or Villar as president. I am not decided who among this two I will going to vote this may 10 election..but after I listen to some discussions among the questions thrown to the presidentiables...it seems that Gibo Teodoro became my favorite. We do not know this guy very well since we only know him after the admin introduce him...he is unlike noy noy who has the advantage of his publicity as son of our countries heroes of democracy....he is not like villar who are know already in congress and senate....he just come in and was being introduce as the presidential bet of the admin.... but i found this guy as really good...he speaks well and answers well...his answers to questions are very much founded with logical reasoning...the art of correct thinking...something that just to the question being discussed...his answers have impact on the possible truth.. Noy noy might have the kindness...villar might have heart to the poor....but gibo have the intellect....if only there would be a triumvirate among these three to lead this country. I still need a lot of time to think who should I vote for....

Hello Varron. I share the same sentiments with you. I've watched numerous presidential "face-offs" on TV and I must agree with you that the best speaker among them is Gibo Teodoro. He is very eloquent, smart, quick to answer and very logical and composed. But then again, Gibo is the administration's kid. And come to think of it, what has he DONE for the country during his last term? There are words going around that this guy is only good with the babble and not with the execution of what he says. But I don't know. You know how our politics is in our county. I myself am torn between the smart Gibo and the humble, non-traditional Noy Noy. Regards.

I agree. Though Gibo displays eloquence and brilliantness, it is never a guarantee of him making a good President. Look what happened to us when Marcos won. Because of his superior intelligence, Philippines made a mark worldwide through countless murders, unexplained wealth, human rights violation and who would forget Martial law? And there is never a guarantee of him saying that if Arroyo is found guilty, she must face the consequence. I would never believe that. It is Arroyo's power that made him the presidentiable bet for Lakas. As for now, though Tita Cory and Ninoy his father can never be duplicated, I believe that his parents had instilled to him values that can never be taken from him. And I believe that the virtues he has gained from his parents makes him more likeable to become the next President on 2010.

I believe that Cory,Ninoy and Noynoy is different from each other. the problem is that media is siding with candidates with lots and lots of endorsers. i know for one example, he has allies in the media and has a sister working there but you see in his debates that he isn't that substance and lacks initiative in every issue being asked to him watch more Presidential Debates. not a referral links. I also am impressed with Gibo when he speaks, he speaks clearly and can easily deliver his ideas to the public compared to other candidates who sometimes cannot do. But in terms of putting him to the presidency I would think twice before I would choose him mainly because he is with the administration. What this country needs I think is a new leadership and a new administration. In his case, I think he placed himself the wrong alliance at a wrong time. If he wind it would just mean that we are just transferring power to the current administration and what is going on will continue on as well. I think the next president must come from outside of this current administration.

I agree with you rsa101, the next president must come from outside of the current administration. I have noithing against GIBO, he is good, intelligent and smart. But intelligence is not only the critiria. Sometimes it very dangerous to have a very intelligent president. Look at former President Ferdinand Marcos. He is the most intelligent, smart President of our country. Look what he did to our country. I don't have a SHORT MEMORY. I can recall it. Their is a saying , BIRDS WITH THE SAME FEATHERS FLOCKS TOGETHER." Now is the time for Juan Dela Cruz, to choose the right leaderfor our country in May. Good Luck, may our country be blessed and prosper after May 2010 election.

True I also admire his intellect among other candidates. Being a well educated person and I think he even studied abroad and excelled in his field of expertise. I see him very qualified but what turns me off is his being connected with the administration. But I think if not for the administration he would never be known to us but I am just afraid that if ever I would support him GMA being politically indebted to her will just use him as a pawn to protect her interest and close the issues against her. I feel that GMA must answer to all of those questions and issues and making an admin candidate win in the election will just mean that there will be no genuine investigation on the alleged scandals against this present administration.

Just because he answered the questions the best means an indication he is going to be the best president. Look on Marcos, he was an expert in oration and was considered as very intelligent who championed debate then, but what happened to his rule? I am wary of the so called intelligent people, sometimes they used it--the other way around...GMA is considered intelligent also and has enough political experience, but what she did right now? I will choose a candidate who has integrity, morality and who leads a simple lifestyle because these traits might create a difference in governance. I will go for Noy, he has this strong conviction and good motivation to do what is right and just. I don't think being lacked of accomplishments in the senate an indication he is not going to be a good leader. There's more into it.

Even Marcos was a very brilliant man, eloquent, and all and I do not have to enumerate here what Marcos have done. Gloria on the other hand was perceived to be a good economist and more intelligent than the rest of the presidentiables during her time. A good economist, and what happened to us now? Gibo might exhibit eloquence and intelligence, and so does Marcos and Gloria. Sometimes a country does not need intelligence to prosper, sometimes a country needs a good and humble heart to persevere and lead an ailing country out of its misery and pain.

I am not in favor of Gibo, he might be intellegent but haven't tested of being a good leader, i haven't seen his social contribution yet. Intelligence must not be the only basis in being a leader but rather having a heart for Filipino people and able to have a transparent government. Do you agree that intelligent people has the more capability to commit corruption? A good leader musthave intelligence, love of his country, vow for his people and fear to God.

Indeed he is a good speaker and his intelligence surfaces during debates. Just like you, we still have to look deeper and know more about the candidates before choosing. I also like the idea of a president who has the kindness and simplicity of Noynoy, the leadership qualities of Villar (he is a very good leader), the intelligence of Gibo, and let's include the charisma of Erap. But since we don't have any candidate who have all those qualities, then it's time to look for the best suited leader for the country today.

This isn't the first time I've heard feedback like this about Gibo. He really does act very stately doesn't he? What would be a good criteria for evaluating who to vote for? That is the big question for me. Then I can strip them down to that criteria so we can make the better choice.

Hello varron, I must admit, this gibo took me by surprise, and i though they simply had no choice but it would sunk them down if they did choose bayani as their standard bearer. he has a way of making speech. Well, he has to be intellectual in his answers this guy is connected and part of the administration. You know my analysis, He's intelligent to give the ANALYSIS and he's a realist when he says it's hard and needs this and that. But he lacks Proper and strong INITIATIVES. despite of him being an intelligent candidate. but he's a formidabble candidate. that's why surveys are nothing but dictative terms to the public.

well, everyone can deliver a stellar speech. but only few are sincere in what they are talking about. i mean every can say that 'vote me?! and ill pay philippines' debt' i myself can say that also. but is it real? do i have what it takes to do that?and am i sincere on what am i talking? nowadays, people become so wise that they manipulate other people. not all who speaks well have the guts to do what the heck they are saying. fortunately, nowadays people are not that easy to fool too. what we need is the assurance that they can do what are in their vision. the competition today relies on how beautiful your speech or your goals are..but its wrong. we should look deeper in every candidate and ask ourselves "how sure am i, that if i vote this person, he will do what he is saying today??"

I prefer Noynoy to be the President because of his parent's values. I know he has absorbed that in his system. Until now, he's very humble and works hard. I heard that Gibo is intelligent but I was turned off because he is the candidate of the current President who is currently bombarded with so many intrigues and malicious activities. I believe that when there is smoke, there is fire. Should Gibo wins, I hope he can prove to me that his dignity is more intact than the one who endorsed him. We need people who are not only intelligent, but also has the integrity to serve his country. It's about time that the Philippines will rise from poverty! Good luck to all of us and may GOD bless us all!
