okay yesterday my boyfriend calls me from work and tells me that one of his bosses told everyone that they will be laying off people because of the economy and the government wasnt going to give them as much money in grants. of course, everyone goes into panic mode. my boyfriend texts me telling me this and i'm getting frantic. getting another job right now is not an easy task. so my boyfriend goes to talk to the manager who hired him and they tell him that he has nothing to worry about. surprised by this, he goes back to work. about an hour later, i get a text saying that layoffs wont happen until august if they even happen. turns out that the man who made the announcement spoke out of turn and thought the news would MOTIVATE the employees. how does telling people that they might lose their jobs a motivation technique? especially right now where employment is such a struggle?

Wow. Can we consider it as a pathetic approach of the company to motivate their employees? Here in our place where finding job is really a struggle, we, the employees try to be productive enough in the performance of our duties and responsibilities in order not to be retrench from our post. Remember, the company will not be the one kneeling infront of us.
