It will be an interesting series for sure. It will be India's batting vs. South Africa's batting as both teams seem to have inexperienced bowling line-ups. While Zaheer will lead the Indian pack, the others are inconsistent and our spin bowling department has lost it's bit after Kumble. On the other hand South Africa's entire bowling line-up together has played less number of tests than Zaheer alone, so they are also relatively inexperienced. I think India will definitely miss the Wall and Laxman, but this is the time for youngsters like Vijay to stake a permanent claim to the Indian test team. Cheers! Ram

yes ,it will be a match between indian batting and SA batting. then india will be in pressure because there is no dravid, yuvi, and some times laxman. it is the best oppurtunity for players like rohit, vijay, badhrinath. as u said zaheer is the only experienced bowler ,also we have harbajan ,but he is out of form. i think both team have equal amunt of chance to win

The news of the morning is that even Rohit is injured so Wridhiman Saha makes his debut along with Badrinath. Zaheer has taken two quick wickets, but Kallis and Amla are slowly seizing the initiative back for South Africa. Cheers! Ram

Actually, I'm glad that Indian cricket team is playing this series in home grounds. Because with so many key players being out of the team, it will be very tough for the youngsters to perform. Since Indian tracks are pretty much flat, I think the youngsters have a fair advantage. As far as the series goes, I think it's really 50-50 at the moment. Can't say anything now at least before seeing the first 2 days of the first test match and watching how our youngsters perform. This is really a golden opportunity for the Indian youngsters like Rohit Sharma, Murali Vijay, Badrinath, etc... to make a statement in the test arena.

Looking at the current situation of the match, the South Africans are way ahead of the Indians and Team India will have to do the catching up game from here on to draw this test match or have a Sehwag special innings to turn this match overhead since South Africa are into a big total of first innings. Possible chances are only that South Africa might win if they are able to all out India twice or India might draw this test. It is a very rare chance that India might win this test match!!
