dear incredibleDNA,
many comments come up when some nasty people are in it. i think cowell was sometimes very straight and insensitive to the participants feelings. but that is what a judge is supposed to be. he need to rate the performance, not what one would feel. but in fairness, i find his rating quite good. and i also see he is not a man of steel "heart". i also saw his compassionate side.
this stern, i havent seen him yet. i think i am interested to see how he makes his judging.
thank you for this discussion.

I totally agree with you. That would be so hard to watch. For him to think that he is the only one out there able to fill Simon Cowell shoes he is mighty mistaken. The show I believe is already in trouble once Simon leaves, bring on Stern and the show is over in my opinion. They need to bring someone like Robert Foster, Berry Gordy, Quincy Jones or Tom Jones someone with a music backround.

hi incredibleDNA oh my word Nellie brown, much worse than Simon , Simon was honest if sarcastic but Howard Stern is just well awful, and I do not like him, he is immoral, rude and vulgar, and a few other things I will not bother saying.

I'm not a huge Howard Stern fan but Idol has to replace Cowell with someone like himself. The show would be a total snore if it weren't for Cowell's honest sharp tongued wit. Stern will of course have to tone things down for t.v. Personally, I would prefer to see someone take his place that has a place in the music industry.

Not interested in seeing American Idol either way, but this would be the thing to increase teh audience for that show even more. I mean, it's been on for forever. Peope who used to watch it are starting to get bored of the concept I would think. Shy not add the famous shock jock to the mix and spice things up a bit?
