Can a girl ask out a boy?

I don't know if this is really right I'm not sure, but now that I think about it I really don't know if a girl can ask out a boy. Usually because it's the boy who asks out the girls. Still I think that some girls would actually go for it and try asking out a boy. I don't really know that would be horrible though to get rejected. So can a girl ask out a boy???? So confused on this one.

Hello ANIMEI123. I think its ok to ask a guy to go out in a date as long as you and the guy are close friends but for intimate relationship i dont think so an idea to ask a guy.

Well ok it's because my friend wanted to ask out this guy out and I didn't know what to tell her.

It really depends upon the person how would a girl ask a guy. But there are guys are okay by that kind of set-up or maybe some are not. They would think this girl is making the first move and somehow its kinda turn off. But if ever a girl would ask somehow try not to be obvious, just ask him casually or just ask a favor or something.
