Hello, Long distance relationship needs more strength and understanding than that of the ordinary one. I've seen several instances where this kind of relationship ultimately failed to survive. They ended up in complaining about ignorance, lack of respect etc etc. But, only one of such relationship did last after a violent battle. Despite the relationship was subjected to tremendous hardship and stress it finally matured into a very stable and ideal one. Thanks for starting such an interesting discussion Take care God bless you

I think it work for some people but not all of people will work on it. One of my best friends was start a relationship with a boy who is a highschool classmates when they were in college in two different city. They just can meet during the vacation, but their home is the same city, so they have lots of time together during vacation. The importent part is when they graduated, they found job in two different cities too, but much near when they were in college. They can meet once every weekends, but then the company the boy work let him go back work in the subsidiary company where his college is. Different from college, the boy will back every month to have conference with the mother company. But they still get married, she told me she feel tired sometimes, but the most importent thing is she love him, so does him!

There is no general conclusion if long distance relationship would work or not. There are people who can not stand the absence and there are those who can. I guess for those having this kind of relationship, one way to keep it going is by keeping the communication line open. They should try to find a way to be keep the intimacy going despite the physical absence of the partner.

hmmm...when i was away my then boyfriend and i broke up due to long distance issue...but when we got married and he got assigned in a different area, we're okay. then the other year i went to Dubai supposedly to work, but then again our marriage was starting to shake and so i packed my bag and came back. so what was i trying to say? it depends on the person, until this minute we are having a long distance relationship, and it works perfectly well, because he's the one who left. it doesn't the same when i go and he stay. so again, it depends on the person who left and who's left behind. i think the left behind should have trust to the person who left so the relationship to work.

Some might say yes but some might say no. I personally haven't an experience of long distance relationship. But I think its in the both of you. How you are loyal/faithful or how you trust each other.
