Do you follow Traffic Rules?

I try to follow traffic rules most of the times but sometimes its very urgent and forced to break the rule or when I see there is no one coming from the other side, I jump to the road even if signal is not green for me. Do you follow traffic rules always or you break very often?

I think traffic rules are for everyone's safety and I try to follow them. That's not to say I haven't got a speeding ticket or two! People who think it's a game or that the rules aren't for them endanger all of us.

I live in a city where so many people break the driving rules and it causes accidents and/or tickets galore. You may think that the intersection is clear and then someone comes out of nowhere and you have a crash. It's not worth it. Obey the traffic rules and don't eat, drink or use the phone to distract you from what you are doing . . . driving! If everyone did this, our roads would be a whole lot safer. For example this summer my cousin was in the car with her toddler and infant. She was on the cell phone and totally blew through a stop sign. Fortunately, a policeman stopped her and gave her a ticket. That shook her up enough to realize that she was putting her babies in real danger, along with anyone else on the road. Be safe. You only have one life.

Yes, there should be enough punishment for those who break the rules. Talking on the phone is another big reason of the accident. We must follow traffic rules for sure.

I have seen some accidents happening because of not following traffic and there were victims of the same who did not commit mistake. We must try to wait for our turn to move on the road.

Well I always obey traffic rules. Traffic rules are made for our safety. They are made to have a free flow of vehicles. With growing population it is very important to arrange the traffic system in a way which can reduce the load form roads. According to me all people should obey the traffic rule. The culprit should be charged and punished.

I obey traffic laws as they are for our own safety. I have managed to drive for 15 years without even a traffic ticket. I think that people that disobey them put the general public at risk and deserve the fines they get when caught.

I did that sometimes too. But I never do that when I was driving! Some times read lights longer for one side but short for another side, I will across the road if I make sure there were no car coming! And sometimes I will jump on the road and run if I saw the lighting is counting down, so the light will turn red when I was walking in the middle, but most of driver will wait me to go. The other situation is that when I saw some one across on the red and no car coming, I will just follow them!

As per my understanding traffic signal lights are set with some rules as in based on the traffic coming from a side/road nd that will definitely vary for one or the other side. We must try to follow the rules for the most of the time, in urgency that is ok if we break the signal :)

Trust me when I say this, there are enough problems with people on the road without me adding to them. So I follow the traffic rules to the letter the vast majority of the time. There might have been a time or two where I have slipped up but nothing too bad that I can recall at the moment. Regardless, it is really important to follow the rules. Even when others tend to disregard them. They are there for a good reason. Safety is important being behind the wheel of the car. If you do not follow them, then you are part of the problem. Unfortunately, I see a lot of people who disregard the rules and make driving a hazardous experience.

Yes Ajay, I always try to follow the traffic rules but sometimes we are in a hurry so that time it is hard to wait for green signal so sometimes I break the traffic rules, but we should follow these rules I strictly recommend.

I always wear helmet but in my city no body care to wear the helmets. Police will catch one day at the end of the month to show the government they are working efficiently. Why don't these Police daily catch the people who don't wear the helmets. A person can pay a fine only one day but not every day. I will stop near traffic lights when a red light is shown but many people break the traffic light if no police man is present near the lights. We Indians never change, love to break the rules. But your idea of We first have to follow the traffic rules is correct. I try to follow the rules as much I can but I get upset if anyone breaks the rules.
