Where do you normally get your profile pictures from? Do you take your own pictures and put them on here? I normally browse around on stock photo sites to get mine. There's an awesome number of sites to get pictures on.

As it is called MY profile and MY photos I use use my own photos which mean something to me. They also perhaps show who I am and what photos are important to me.

Because it is supposed to be a photographic profile of me and what is part of my life.

Whatever floats your boat, but the way you said it, it made me think that you were implying that everyone should have his or her own picture up as their avatar, which is something I personally am not interested in doing. Please, do correct me if I'm wrong.

I find your emphasis on the word "my" to be interesting. Any reason for it? I'm just curious.

One of my hobbies is photography and I have enough subjects in my home and garden to capture. I upload them in the my pc and then upload them here. I have countless pictures of flowers and trees that grow in my garden as also some of my pets who know how to pose!!

Then you have the kind of profile which I enjoy looking at.

Mine tend to be anime characters, so they usually come from sites devoted to anime or fan art sites. This one is Shiranui Genma from Naruto, and I've had it so long I don't really remember where it came from. I wish I did so I could credit it properly. I don't really like having my own photo as an avatar, though I will sometimes put photos of myself up online. Just not where I have to look at them all day long, because my physical image and my mental/emotional self have little to do with each other. ... I got thinky, sorry.

I'm like you, I don't like using my own picture, either. It makes me feel weird and self-conscious at the same time.

I take my own pictures to use on my profile. If I do not have a picture which I like on my computer I will take one and then add it to my profile. I will probably end up changing my pictures weekly so this help me out to get more practice with my camera as well as the light box I use.

I have a lot of pictures on my computer that I'm trying to decide whether or not I want to use them. I might put up a picture of some orchids I took several weeks ago.

Right now my profile photo on Mylot and Facebook is of my late horse Major. I still have not figured out how to copy and post so I will stick with my photo's of Major. I rather have his photo of Major because he was important to me and part of my life for a long time!

Major was 31 when he passed away. He had health issues and I believe the day I had to put him down his heart was going. I didn't want Major to suffer more then he did.

Some stock photo sites, some I take myself...or have been handed down by friends.

BigStockPhoto.com has some awesome pictures on there. That's where I got a great majority of my avatars.

Hi coolcoder. Most of the pictures that are on my profile were taken either by my husband or myself. The only ones that aren't taken by either of us were the ultrasound pictures of our kids. Those were taken by the technician at the hospital. LOL Happy mylotting!

I usually get it from the games I played. There are whole lot of images from there. But I also tried to find some stock that I can work with using photoshop to produce my own profile pictures. I only use my own pictures as profile picture in facebook.
