I just got one. I have no idea what I'm doing. Everybody I talk to says it is very user friendly, and the wii must be since my friend's son was playing it all by himself when he was 3. We have the sports pack and the Jillian Michaels trainer game plus whatever comes with the Wii Fit package. Suggestions? Experience? Things to be sure I do? Things to be sure I DON'T do? Yes I have heard about the Mii's and how you make them all cool and then it might make your Mii fat and tell you you're obese.....

Give it to the kids, if you have to ask, you're too old. OK but seriously, we just got one too and all I know is that I don't sparkle like a diamond and I'm not likely to get over the trauma any time soon (Twilight game). We have the sports pack too but the disk won't load. Need to see what we need to do to get it replaced. Husband keeps saying he's going to, but if I had held my breath, I'd be beyond blue by now...

Yeah, it's basically a Twilight trivia game. And I did go and exchange the disk. Sometimes I think when he says, "I'm going to do..." he really means "I'd like you to..." Nothing like clear communication!

Twilight GAME? YOu gotta be kidding me lol. Yeah, I would find out about exchanging that disc - before you turn blue. Then having a Wii would be pointless, wouldn't it? LOL!

Wii the best game console ever! Get fit with Wii you won't regret it. My favorite games are boxing and tennis but I want to play table tennis as well. But I think Wii is rather slow don't you think?

I haven't used it a lot yet but I like what I have seen of it. I am a late convert to the Wii crowd, my hubby got it because some guy at work couldn't stop talking about how great it was lol. It also seems to be a better way for him to work out, we have a weight bench and weights in our front room and I do use the gym membership but....

Wii Fit is great. The balance board is very accurate and ensures that you do each excersise correctly. You follow the instuctions you are given on screen ot set up a profile for yourself. After that you will be ready to take your body test. select take body test and then follow each instruction you are given. After your test you will be graded and given a Wii fit age. This number indicates how old the machine thinks you are according to your test results. When the test has been completed you may select a stamp to mark the day. Then you can track your progress, review your goals (you set these whem you make a profile.) or practice and tune your skills.

My Wii Fit says I'm 43.... it said I was 46 the first day I did it. HEH. I think that it just doesn't like me and I can't balance worth a damn - which is why I did so lousy on the test lol.

The game in general doesn't make your Mii obese, that is something that Wii Fit does based on your weight. It sucks to see them show you how fat that you are, but it is okay too because as you lose weight, your Mii will start to thin out as well. The Jillian Michaels training game is good for a workout, but it isn't so much a game to just play. It will make you sweat. Oh, and Wii Fit can easily get addicting. Have fun.

Thanks! It does seem addicting while I'm playing it. I was playing the balance one where you try to get your mii down the river without drowning? I was so proud when I finally made it! A lot of the technique is just getting down what you have to do, your 'boundaries' so to speak. Once you learn how much leaning is enough or how fast you need to tilt or move, it gets easier to do better. I think it helps teach you body control too.

I love this game!!! I don't yet own one though..... My brother bought one and we play it a lot at his house. He has a nice big screen TV and it is a LOT of fun to play. It gets you off the couch and moving around. I like to play the bowling game....with the right TV, it's just like being at the bowling alley!!! Lots of Fun!

I haven't tried the bowling yet, just the tennis and the Wii Fit sections. I like most of the aerobic type stuff, balance, and I tried the yoga. Haven't tried much of the strength yet, just a little. We also have a ps3 and I've done the bowling on that, I wonder if the Wii bowling is more realistic.

I don't have a wii fit but I've considered getting one for awhile. One thing to really keep in mind is that studies have proven that the wii fit really doesn't help people get in shape. It helps you get up and move but it's not too conducive to actually losing weight. So with that in mind, if you're looking to get more active and off the couch great! But you'll have to add some other things in your daily routine to help you get into shape.

LOL! I think it's an excellent motivator for someone who is already in shape and just perhaps lazy for half the week. It certainly helps you move more than this does, although my fingers get a LOT of exercise when I'm on the computer!

Just get the system set up correctly and set up a user profile for yourself, putting in the measurements it asks for,and work through the exercises it gives you..if you keep with it,the system does work-the exercises used will make you fitter if you keep going with it..My routine is so off I can't set aside a particular time of day to work with it,so I'm going in at all sorts of odd hours..it does recommend that you have a routine to spend time on it..Good Luck!

LOL! I generally don't get on the same time(s) every day or even every day depending on when my kid is parked in front of the tv it's hooked up to lol. It seems super easy to spend a lot of time on it though, and it's active - unlike spending a lot of time HERE lol.

We have the Wii and the Wii Fit and have a good time with both. The Wii does take a little bit of practice. Most of the time, getting a good result in one of the games is about timing and letting go of, or pushing a button at a certain point in the movement. Make sure the little sensor bar is in a good spot and can pick up your motion acurately. Now, the Wii Fit can give you a great workout. We have The Biggest Loser workout to go along with it. I just started with the beginner routines and it gets my heart pumping. I'd be curious to hear how the Jillian Michaels workout is. Remember, have fun.

I haven't opened up the Jillian Michaels one yet, but I do enjoy the Wii Fit. I mostly do the balance related things and aerobics. I'm not super good at balancing but I'm getting better lol.

If you want to make you mii cool, you just need to go to mii chanel, just next avatar of wii chanel I think! the secon one on the first row! You choose to edit mii, and you need to crab the mii you want change to the option, and you can do what you want. You can also creat a new mii, in mii chanel. I play wii and wii fit both, my husband never play wii fit! I love tennis, and we buy wii sports, and I love play table tennis. And I think you must have wii fit, because in wii fit plus can tell you how calroi you burn every time you finish play one of game! And in wii fit plus there have information about how much calroi like rice, one can of coke have. And you can made your own plan to lose weight or increase weight! Because I become too fat recently, I love use wii fit to control it, and I love play yorgot with wii!

I made a pretty cool little mii.... and I like most of the aerobics and balance activities. The hula hoop one is crazy, so is one of the bike ones! I get worn out just from 10 minutes.

I just got the Wii Fit Plus, for my birthday a few days ago from my brother and ever since I got the game, I've been loving it and it is very addicting. I've been doing pretty good with it so far. I've actually lost some weight on that thing and also, my age thing has gone done. Cause at first it said I was 40 then 43, 38 and now I'm 30 lol. I think its pretty accurate with everything. I find the aerobics thing so much fun. Its really got me up and moving now. I've always wanted to go outside and run around the block and stuff, but our neighborhood, is not exactly what you could call safe. But with the wii fit I can go running and it seems really realistic, also I've noticed that you can even watch tv while you run. I haven't tried that yet, because I like seeing the scenery and people waving at me lol. I guess that keeps me motivated to keep going. I also do alot of the balancing and the strength training as well as Yoga. My favorite excercises on there though, are the rhythm parade as well as the boxing and the running. Its become a lot of fun. I haven't played any other games except for the sports and that is fun too, the tennis game is alot of fun.
