I was wondering for the people that have had one of their replies voted as "best response", did u write a comment back thanking the person who started the discussion?

I sometimes add another comment but I don't believe using the exact words "thank you". I belive people should give best response to the answer that they think is the best and you shouldn't have to bow to them for it. I think a comment is enough to show them that you bothered to check back. Most people don't even write a comment to tell why that response was the best one anyways. I don't have that many best responses myself but in a few of the ones I have, I saw comments and responses that I thought were much better than mine. In one case I have commented on what I thought was the best response because I have the feeling that user gave me best response for the wrong reasons.
