Are there litter laws where you live?

I believe there are laws about littering here.On the highways they have signs that say if you litter you will get a fine of $300.00 but it don't seem to stop people from doing it.I see litter all the time.I guess people just don't care about it.I think people are the obvious ones who ruined the earth,and then they complain about it when they did it.How about your area,are there litter laws?

Yes, law is enforced against littering in my country. Offenders could be fine up to $1000, or they could be asked to perform a "Corrective Work Order", where they have to sweep the streets in public. With these disciplinary actions in place, one will have to think twice before he throws that litter anywhere he wants.

There are litter laws here too but they are implemented only in limited areas. Mostly we can see trash on the street here and every corner. I wish litter laws were strictly implemented here
