As said on my discussion title, Paypal removes the personal option for its Indian members. There was no reason stated but according to rumors, it was abused due to rampant usage to avoid the fees. Well, I gonna admit that I'm also doing that option everytime I pay or buy something online so the receiver will receive it fully and vice versa. I hope that Paypal will not remove the Personal Payment Option for us Filipino members.

I also heard about that option although I am not a frequent user of that option. I have transacted once and it failed to proceed and the money went back to me. I think Paypal is also stopping e-currency exchanges from Paypal to other e-currencies. I think that Paypal is really strict on doing this thing to prevent competition with other e-currencies.

How can they trace that? If the transaction is personal or let's say, gift or payment owed, paypal cannot trace it unless you stated that it's for a currency exchange

I think they are only doing that base on suspicion only.

I heard that too and I also had a problem with paypal. My account was frozen when I'm about to withdraw my earnings last January when I got it verified my account already. It is horrible experience to me and even my payout here are denied by them. I don't know what to do anymore to prove my identity to them. I've sent my documents and ID's. My problem is I don't have billing statements that named after me so what can I do about that.

I hope so. I just got my paypal verified. It is a personal account. I also emailed paypal to change my account to personal to avoid the fees.
