I am not even sure kids still carry lunch boxes anymore. I remember I would get a new one each year during elementary school. And when they werent used to hold my lunch, they would help me carry my toys from place to place. Do you remember lunch boxes?

Yeah I till remember them very clearly since I still carry one- I am in college by the way. I have a lot of reasons for doing s-o, the food in the canteen is expensive and also not so delicious, food outside can be dirty and I just don't want to wait in line.

I carried lunch boxes a lot when I was younger. I had quite a few different lunch boxes. I had a hard cased one that was purple. I also had several different soft type lunch boxes. I would use them to pack lunches for field trips and I'd use them to pack lunch for school. I prefered packed lunches occasionally because I wasn't a big fan of school food. As I got older though I ended up not packing my lunch as much.

I loved my lunch boxes that I had as a kid! My favorite was a metal E.T. one, until I was in a car accident and it flew out of my lap and broke my nose. I only wanted plastic ones after that, and I liked my Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle one best out of those! :P
These days I have an interest in Japanese-style bento boxes, which are typically smaller than an American lunch box. I carry one of those to work with me most days, and it's got "My Neighbor Totoro" artwork on it

Yes I do believe there are still those who carry lunch boxes in school and even in the office. I myself still do take time to pack lunch for my husband and for my son and even for my little ones because I want to make sure they are eating clean and safe food.

I do remember lunch boxes! I had a metal one with flowers on it - but can't remember much else about it. I think I switched to lunch bags because all the other kids did . . . you know, it's one of those things you did because everyone else did it.
My daughter now has a metal Hello Kitty lunchbox - given to her by my mom. It's cute, but I think it's a bit hard for her to shut . . . so I'm thinking about getting her the zipper type ones everyone else has. Also, things keep cooler with some blue ice in the fabric/plastic type ones rather than the metal, so that's why I'm thinking of switching.
