I have seen some exceptions but mostly in my opinion, men's writings are either extremes: gorgeous penmanship or ghastly chicken scratch. It's one or the other most of the time. Most women's handwriting usually is readible but not something you gaze at in beauty. What do you think? Who has the best penmanship?

I think both gender has a unique handwriting. And while reading you can't even imagine who has the best handwriting. When I was in school, there were many girls and boys who has the nice handwriting and couldnot declare who is the best. My handwriting was also one of them but I won't say it was the best. I think, it's my personal view, there was a boy in my class, his handwriting was awesome, even if his answers are wrong, you can't stop yourself liking his handwriting and giving extra marks.. I really liked his handwriting and I would definitely say among all, his handwriting was the best.

as the saying goes, "beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder" what might be pretty for you might not be pretty for the others... well, in so far, the best penmanship i have seen was from the editor in chief of our school magazine, back when i was still in college.. She told me before that her handwriting only improved with consistent practice since she was really into writing her thoughts into wonderful articles. but yes, i do agree that most men have a not so neat penmanship,haha... that sometimes, it would be a consolation that you would be able to read it with ease... haha peace out!

Shockingly enough I never really learned how to handwrite. The teacher taught us and everything but I never really took to it and always printed anyway, eventually she gave up asking me to write my homework. To this day there are still some letters that i cant do.

I believe for the most part women have the better penmanship. I know to many men in my life that write like chicken scratch. Also doctors are horrible when it comes to writing their precriptions out. Who can make heads or tales of it. I honestly don't know how the pharmacist understands it. I bet they have to call the doctors alot.

I think girls/women have neater handwriting in general. As a child growing up I can remember so many of my female friends having beautiful handwriting and most of my male friends had such terrible handwriting, it was difficult to read. This was back in the day when kids passed notes to each other instead of texting. With my own kids I can definitely say the girls write neater than the boys. I have noticed though, over the past few years my younger kids have not had as much instruction on cursive writing as my older kids had gotten at the same age. I do believe with the popularity of the internet, email, texting, etc. handwriting will eventually become a lost art. People depend so much on their keyboards to get their message across that we find ourselves writing with pen and paper on very rare occassions.
