Hi there! Do you think that the books are actually better than the movies and that the movie actors have spoiled the mystery around the characters of the book?

I think that most books are better than their movie counterparts. However, with Twilight, I think that they have done a fairly adequate job with the characters. Edward is too angry, but it works anyway. I love that they are finally portraying the fun side of Jasper in New Moon. I was not happy with their portrayal of him in Twilight, but they did much much better in New Moon and actually all of the actors did a better job than in Twilight. There were some pretty bad acting scenes in it. I was very impressed with New Moon and am anxious to see how Eclipse turns out.

I havent seen New Moon yet because I was very disappointed by Twilight. And I am very keen on Jasper's character in the book so I was very angry too when in Twilight he actually.... did nothing! I dont like Edward and I am not very keen ot Bella either in the movie. Bella isnt that helpless and Edward (As you said) isnt that angry!

I agree with enyniya......... Jasper was given a very little part as compared to the book. And ofcourse few things changed in the movie. But being a person who read the Harry Potter books first before watching the movies and feeling oh why did they change the story from the book, I wasnt very happy. So story wise I wish they had stuck to the book completely but then the characters, I did not imagine them as good looking and great when I was reading. Jacob or Dr. Cullen look and seem much better than they seem in the book.

Thank you for the support! I dont know about the Harry Potter mania though, I have never read the books and I have seen only the first two movies and I wasnt that gripped at all. Are the books really that better?

well actually atfirst i love the book but now i love the movie more cause it gives me pictures of the faces of the characters and the places and the actions of what i'm imagining when i'm reading the book.

well yes but it gives you an IMAGE that actually replaces the creations of your imagination which I consider unfair. Believe me Edward looked much better in my mind and most of the scenes were in much better places. Of course the movie gave me a better view on Alice but that;s all.

Oh well I love Alice too in the movie. I've seen the movie first before I've read the book.

I think the characters fairly portrayed the role on the movie but I like what is written in the book because it has a detailed information about what is happening. I fall in love with Twilight that I have to watch it twice to understand it more. After that, I saved it on my phone and watched it whenever I'm free all over again. I even listen to it whenever I'm working and I can concentrate more on work when I'm listening to it, its like my motivation to finish every job whenever I listen to it. Since the books are so expensive at that time, a neighbor of mine gave me an e-book. I'm so addicted at that time and promised to watch New Moon when its out. Unfortunately, New Moon doesn't have the same impact Twilight has given me. I don't like their wigs at all and the story, it seems like its a little different from the book too. What I appreciate only is the effects on about wolves. I hope Eclipse wouldn't be the same way because it has the same writer as Twilight has. I can't wait for June!
