Hello there! Well, it doesn't annoy me at all when my money got washed such as bills. The money in here is made of tough fiber, stronger than an ordinary paper and when it got wet, it can be easily returned to its normal shape. Just let it dry on the fan and it will get unwrinkled, the only problem is when it is torn out but it can be solved by putting a clear tape on a side. It is still negotiable even when the bill was torn out, but those bills with unusual marks such as those written by some people using a pen, similar to vandalism which is done on walls are not accepted on some establisments. An order was released to make bills from polymer, but it was not yet approved to be a law. Have a nice day!

No kidding! I feel so embarassed when using them to pay for something after I have washed them. They often end up in pockets and I have no idea how they get there We used to have a flimsy paper driving license here too. Thank goodness that has now been replaced with one like a credit card because if I ever wash that it should come out the same as it went in

That's good that they changed it.

This reminds me of when I first started working many years ago and each week we got our pay in cash. Well when I got home I kept counting the money because it was the first time I had ever earned so much. Sad as this sounds I was even counting it whilst on the loo. Accidentaly after I had flushed the toilet I dopped some of it into the loo and had to quickly reach in before it was flushed away. Thankfully the toilet was at the end of the flush so the water was clean but it taught me the lesson to never count money near the toilet and also what a pain it is to straighten out notes after thay have been soaked, lol.

Hi Coolbeans, I'm worried that I may lost the hard earn money Nowadays such situation doesn't happen anymore for I'm used to put the note in the wallet instead of pocket. I still remember during those younger days I liked tucking money in my jeans pocket. Sometimes I found wrinkled when putting on clean jeans. Goodness me! I know I hadn't checked the pocket before dumping them into the washing machine. I was afraid that the vendor would refuse to accept the wrinkled money. Therefore I tried to iron out the the wrinkle and made them looked rather smooth Happy posting

Of course I hate it though each time it was pretty recoverable. Someone suggested steam ironing it... maybe that helps.

I've found bills in my husband's pockets after washing his pants and I put them in the microwave to dry. It only takes a couple of seconds.
