When posting pictures in myLot, per the new guidelines, I always search for photos by "royalty free images of ____ ". It's hard to find information that is not copyrighted, yet important. Here is one site I found, and please share any 'royalty free' sites and images with fellow myLotters in my discussion : ) http://www.feebleminds-gifs.com/free-pictures.html

I found some more sites that offer free images: http://gallery.hd.org/_cat/doHTMLSearch.jsp?q=england+photos&category=places-and-sights&author=-&suffix=-&attributeWord0=-&attributeWord1=- OR http://community.foe.co.uk/tools/obtaining_free_images.html

Thank you myspot for sharing this link and for starting this discussion. I have more that 500 posts so I can download pictures for the discussions that I start and also for answering. But until now I have never downloaded any image because I know some images are not free and it's against mylot policies to use pictures that are copyright protected. Thanks to you I'm going to start uploading some pictures. Thank you MySpot.

Welcome to myLot. I'm so glad I could help! I find that it's best if you have personal photos you can use. I prefer to use my digital camera for as many images as possible because I know I have rights to them ; ) When searching for royalty free images, just be sure to check the home page of the site and the bottom of the page to be certain that the photos are okay to use. Some sites require that you ask for permission first. There is usually a note about the use of their images or at least a copyright symbol (little c that is circled) to let you know.
