Okay I just knew this just now when I bought blank dvds. I ask them what is the difference between an minus R than a plus R and RW? They said the -R dvds or cds are good in video burning or movie burning. It is not good with data file storage while + R is vice versa of - R which it is good in data disc rather than than video burning. RW is RAW meaning it can be erase depending in sessions of burning. RAW Dvds are good both on Video and Data. Is this true? What type of disc do you use?

DVD RW stands for Re-Writable. They comes under the category of EPROM. EPROM means Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory. They can be erased and Re-Writed to a specified number of time. Most DVD RW manufacturers guarentee that you can use it upto 1000 Re-Writes. One ReWrite means an erase of content and one write.
I uses almost everykind of these discs. Earlier days i used Rewritable DVD's and CD's to store my data for portability and re-useability. But for the past 4 years i am using removable media like Pendrives and External portable HDD's as my storage medium. But still they arent a permanent replacement to CD or DVD. Portable HDD's and Thumbdrives are faster in data transfer and write operation when compared to CD or DVD as well as they are secure and friendly than CD or DVD in portability also.
