I don't drink alcohol at all. A few times ,people at work got drunk when there was a celebration and I thought they were very embarrassing and unwise and one even had a big car accident because of drinking so i cant see a good reason to drink. Do you drink alcohol? Is it to be social, is it because you like the taste? If you dont drink either is it because you don't like the flavor or some other reason?

I won't say that I don't drink and neither I would say that I am a hard drinker! It is because I have had alcohal for once and then on I never had it in my life till now. It is not that I didn't like it but it was not that good to have every now and then. I am just waiting for something really bad to happen with me so that Iwill require alcohal!

I have been inspired from movies in my life. I have seen people drinking while they are really really sad. I also want to do the same in my life, just to see how it feels!LOL!

that is just your fun I think. Movies after all are fiction but you know that. One of my relatives used to drink to alleviate depression but it didn't work, it just caused him more trouble and spoiled his health.

That's right...why to drink when there is no good reason for drinking...I don't drink...I have seen people drinking and then they puke..they can't stand on their own...I have never tasted it...but i have never found any reason good enough for drinking...it's an addiction...and its not good for health in long term....

I have seen men walking in the middle of the road after drinking too much, staggering about between the cars. One man at work had to sleep there on the floor because he drank so much at the party that he was not safe to go home on his bicycle.

I don't drink and this is a personal preference. MY father was (and I don't know if he still drinks or not) a heavy drink and this led to several problem - his deterioration of health and loss of money. His health is declining, and within these couple of years we lost a lot of money because of him; from his drinking habit to his gambling problem (partly influence by his drunkenness). I just don't want to turn out like him. I also live in Australia, where drinking is a socially accepted matter. While the current legal drinking age is 18, I know for a fact many have had their first drink by at leas 16. I look at these people, these people who are the same age as me get drunk just for the sake of getting drunk - having not a care in the world about anything. It's no wonder how teen drinking is such a big problem here. Also I see no point in drinking - I don't like the smell of it, and it cost too much. While the alcopops aren't as bad (in terms of smell), what's the point of drinking them when it might as well be better drink a soft drink or something. While I'm not against drinking - and especially since this is part of my country's culture - I'm more for drinking responsibly and in moderation to cut down things like drink driving.

I stopped drinking 30 - odd years ago after it took me three days to recover from an all night party which included some heavy drinking. I thought that this was no good, I was damaging my health with such behaviour, so I stopped. I have had the occasional drink since then, but never more than one or at the most two drinks and that only once or twice a year - if that.

Goodness that must have been a very wild party. I wonder if you can remember much about it. I have heard that people cant even remember how they got home or what they did,to me that would be quite scary.

I did drink at one time. I got to I could not control myself. When I would drink, I would get in fights. I would spend a lot of money I did not have to spend. I had to stop. Happy posting.

There are fights quite often in the evenings on Friday nights because of people being drunk. they spend their earnings at the clubs and bars and just go from one to the other.

I use to drink especially on a Saturday night when everyone use to head out down the pub for the evening after work. Although I was more just a social drinker who enjoyed a few pints than getting hammered, although it did happen a few times. These days I don't drink anymore because of medication I have to take permanently prohibits it. But then I don't miss it and don't think I would really bother to drink even if I could.

It must get quite expensive if everyone expects one of the group to buy for each other person. I think that is probably why it gets out of hand too.

I don't drink. Never gotten into it. I can't really enjoy the taste of it. And to me it stinks. Do not like being around it. Plus I have seen to many accidents that people lost their live due to acohol. It is stupid if you ask me.

I don't understand how men can drink 8 pints! I would be rushing to the toilet every second pint . They must have hollow legs.

Lately, I drink to warm up. I like a little Bailey's in coffee and it warms me right up. I don't drink coffee any other way. A little Bailey's is nice way to warm up and relax. I am a supervisor of 11 people and they can drive me crazy! So I need to relax.

I suppose that is why St Bernard Dogs carry brandy in mountain rescue. Is Baileys in coffee the same as Irish coffee?

Yes occasionally i take drink. Its not my habit but when there is festival like holi ,new year then for some enjoyment like to dance , to do something different I take it. but i do not prefer more because its harmful . it can generate blood pressure and can make our lever weak so mostly i avoid it.

I don't drink alchohol because it does not taste good and also because it is harmful for health and society. It is just a waste of money.

I don't, I won't and never be. I don't see any good and benefits for me. It's obvious that there's no good on it so for what? God even had said it on Bible long time ago about this thing, but as usual who cares what God says. Yeah I heard it for social, but for me there's other way to be social other than that thing. Why you do drink anyway?
