Cookies - PreMade or HomeMade

Do you still enjoy making homemade cookies? or do you prefer to buy the ones that all you have to do is put them in the oven. During Christmas I still like to make them from scratch, but the rest of the year I just pop them in the oven. What is your favorite way to make cookies?

I enjoy homemade eaten straight from the oven, well from the oven after they are warm enough to eat. Delicious and that way you can tweek the recipe to add your own favourites and control the amount of sugar etc that goes into them.

I made cookies last weekend, and I do not think they really had time to cool, before they were eaten. I noticed the cooling rack was half empty, within minutes. They are the best when they are still warm.

Just the usual chocolate chip. I get more fancy at Christmas.

What typ did you make? I think the best I have made is Farmhouse Cookies they were delicious and did not last very long either...lol

I usually just make them from scratch. I like the mixing, etc. (The cleaning up isn't my favourite part, though).

I agree, the clean up is awful. I think when I have my 8 year old helping, we use all the bowls and a dozen spoons.

I hate the premade ones, but I make cookies from scratch now and then. I think they taste a lot better. If I'm going to be lazy (and I am, often), I buy the ready to eat kind from the store.

Our store has the best sugar cookies, nothing fancy about them, they just taste great. That is the one cookie that I have never been real good at making. If I am in a hurry and need something for a covered dish meal at church, I will always grab some of them.

I hate baking so usually I just by pre made..But now that I have children I try and bake cookies with them. For the most part they come out tasting pretty good.LOL

I used to bake more from scratch before I had kids. Now with my youngest son, he always wants to help and we end up with a big mess. LOL I guess we are making memories instead of cookies.
