We all are friends here and we are suppose to respect each other in some ways. Now, if one of your mylot friends ask for your email address, will you give it? I am not sure, as i personally don,t think or rather hope something can go wrong. So?

Hi Saphrina! Very good post. If any of my friends here on mylot asks for my email ID, I would gladly share my email ID because I personally believe that when we are friends, we should trust each other and communicating through emails is easier than writing through PMs. I have many frineds here, who communicate with me through emails. There are some issues, which one does not feel like mentioning in the discussion itself, those could be conveyed either through PMs or mails. However, I have observed that some of the friends feel shy to share their email ID with me (thought the percentage is very less). I cannot question their wisdom, however, I feel really disappointed because I believe that 'friendship' is a scared relationship (even on-line friendship) and if you cannot trust your friend (i.e me) there is no fun and meaning of friendship. I do not think that sharing email ID could cause problems, suppose something bad happens, you can always delete or block the sender permanently, at least in gmail. What about you? Have a nice day! Nice to meet you! dpk

I had one myLot friend who is now gone from myLot . . . so I can say this now. He was a very nice guy, at least on myLot - and he "seemed" sincere. He'd message me here and said I can add him on Facebook if I wanted. He even gave me his real name. Well, messaging me here makes us all still anonymous, but to add him on Facebook would have exposed my personal everything to this cyberfriend. My personal email address is there. I wasn't so sure about it - so I told him honestly that I trust no one in the cyber world - so no offense - but I wanted to keep anonymous for safety reasons - and that we can keep our "friendship" here on myLot. There are too many whackos out there, and I didn't need to deal with that. He was understanding . . . and that was that. I can find him via Facebook if I really wanted to - but I choose not to.

That is just the thing. I really do not know. And as far as facebook go, for me, KNOW WAY. No Offence, but that is really too personal for my liking. I will ask someone their mail address and see what happens. HAHAHHA. Thanks, you were really helpfull. TATA.
