I didn't know pancakes had their own special day! I made some for my son when he was visiting but before that I hadn't had them for years. I used to make them with blueberries in them and when my boys were small I'd put some chocolate chips in them (not many!) for a special treat.
Pancakes were another way I would sneak in vegetables that I'd cooked and blended to a liquid or paste, depending on how I could use them--they never guessed that there was squash and carrots in the batter!

yes it is on the 16th. So there is a lot of tossing of pancakes and pancake races where you run with a pancake in the frying pan to the end of the line x

hi! I even didn't know that tomorrow there is a pancake day. In which country do you celebrate it, it sounds really wonderful, becaues I love pancakes and your discussion is a good occasion for me to make some pancakes tomorrow, because I haven't eat some from about 2 months maybe! I eat my pancakes with strawberry jam and Bulgarian cheese - the combination of sweet and salt is really very tasty, should try it !!!

It's actually on 16th February this year. It varies every year but is always on a Tuesday. The link below will tell you more. Have a nice day!

I love pancakes, but I haven't really tried them any other way except with good old syrup and lots of butter or margarine. I don't have them very often at all, but that's a reason they are so delicious when I do occassionally.
