Video Phone help please

A change of pace on my discussions. A lot of people come here in myLot to search of advice on some or all the gadgets that they have. Well today is my day. I need help on a D-Link DVC 1100. I got some people staying in my house for a few weeks and one of them is deaf. I’ve been trying to hook up his video phone so he can talk/sign with his girlfriend in Virginia. We’ve managed to set it up, but we can’t make a call. It just keeps ringing. Anybody there familiar with this product? Any suggestions on how I could fix it? I wanted to get it connected because it takes so much of my time trying to fix it, that it takes away my myLot time. Thanks is advance.
