My mother used to say that .. The right hand is like us working hard to earn the money, but when spending time the Left does most of it without thinking how hard we worked ..
Sometimes, when i am alone thinking where the money went, i realise how tru what she had said ...
But for me, i just received my bonus of extra $7K but the problem is .. i already know i need to spend them, yeah .. with 2K i can complete my husbands car loan, with 2K i can update my house loan, with another 1K i can buy a nice mattress for my bed, another 1K plan to spend for my parents .. another 1K update all the credit card outstanding ..
there my left hand just spent them ...
cheers

Yes the saying is true an there is also another saying similar and that is the right Hand is receiving and the left hand is leaving
It is always the same we work hard and harder and it takes a lot to earn the money but not a lot to spend it
It is gone on Bills and that before we can even earn again

i understand on how though times can be .. the last 2 months we were struggling with cash, which was why we were late on our loans .. we even broke our little 'piggy bank' to get money for our food ... it was really though dear, really though ...
But now i learned my lessons .. we cook even simple dinner at home, the left over i bring to work ..
lets be careful where we spend ..

I hope this is not true as I am left handed. :-P
Just kidding. I'm hoping my right hand takes the money, and my left hand keeps it safe. Also, on a happier note, by using your left hand to pay off some loans now, you are paying less interest in the long run and thereby saving money, and as the old saying goes "a penny saved is a penny earned." Thanks for the post and happy mylotting!

True that you have spent the money, but think of all the assets that you now own from spending that money. Your husband's car will be completely paid off, which means no monthly car payment. By updating your mortgage you will have a lower monthly payment. You'll get all of those nasty credit card bills out of the way, and you'll be happier because you'll be getting a better nights sleep on that new bed. So when you really look at it, I'd say that money is well spent, and that you really did gain a lot from spending it that way. Cheers!

This is so correct Sanju…whenever we come into some money, we get so excited but in the blink of an eye all the money is gone. It’s the same at the beginning of the month, when I get mypaycheck. Apart from the regular expenses, there’s some extra cash left and when I sit to plan things that I want to buy OMG…the list is endless but not the money! The demand and supply gap never seems to widen forever so that no matter how hard the right hand works to earn, the left hand always has its own plans to spend LOL
