Adsense? can you really make money from here

I am from the philippines and I dont know if there are legitimate work online.
In US I believe there are lot of oppurtunities for online Job. though there are scam but not as much as offered for Filipinos.
I work 8am-5pm weekdays and free on weekend and I wish to work online.
for a part time job.
read this google adsense and it says you can make money online.
I know basic HTML but I dont know how adsense works.
and is this really legitimate.
Do you know where can I can have a job online.
Appreciate your suggestions and comments.

Well, there is a website named itzgreat.com. If you can write articles then you can join that website and earn a good amount of money there. I'm a pro member of that website and earning a good amount of money everyday. You can become a pro member and take the advantage of working part-time there and earn a good amount of money.
You can also bid on projects on odesk, getafreelancer etc.

ive been to a lot of website but as an observation they are offering very intriguing amount seems a scam.
