This is the kind of weather we have here in the Philippines. I know some of our American friends and from the other places in the world still experience HEAVY SNOW, like what Auntie Marti had posted days ago. And even HICCUP also have a post regarding SNOW. So, I would like to share with you an image for you to feel or at least see how it is, in the Island of Mactan now. The weather is great, the sun is up, the waters are cool. So what kind of weather you have now, while on mylot? I mean, right now... How would you like to see the world now? Or would you travel and see the Philippines, for one?

hello neil! well, today, its a fine weather here from where i am! haha the sun is up and i think no rain for how many days already. but its not that hot here in our house since there are two big mango trees covering the house! that's why even if the sun is up outside, its still not hot in here that we don't have a need for an aircon or electric fan! it reminds me of my friend who's now in Germany for a vacation, she complains coz its too cold there & that she don't enjoy her vacation wanting to go back here right away! haha and she even have a second thought on staying there after marrying her bf...

then tell her to go back home now, and bring some snow from there... some of our friends really envy us with the kind of weather, especially the weather today. tamara even mentioned, if we can share our weather with them. well, if we can only exchange weather with them now. send us some snow, but not too much, please...

yes, of course. it's a lot different if we are in that place, playing with the snow. but as i have said, not too much, as what they are experiencing right now. i don't want to get crazy with snow, heavy snow, storm snow. it is really great that our weather is like this, one of the best.

I'm also live in the Philippines and I must say the weather here is very warm. Sometimes the temperature goes up but I guess that's how it is nowadays. I just hope our friends in the US endure the current weather they're having.

I also learned the heavy snow news from TV. I come from Guangzhou, China. Here it is like spring now, but I think it is even hotter than the temperature in spring. But according to the weather forecast, it will be cold in the Chinese New Year. I think it is quite nice to see the sunshine and beach:) I think many people will envy you now:) I love China

The other day here in Texas it was pouring down rain and cold. Today it was misty rain and later in the day it stopped and the sun came out and it felt kinda warm but to some people it was cold. I guess if you were standing in the sub=n it was warm. And either tonight or tommorrow night we are supposed to get snow. This weather is crazy here!

that is right. this heavy snow or storm snow gets more people crazy. if only we can exchange weather for at least a day or two, so we can at least experience how weird the weather you got there and you can have the sunny hot days like we have here.

Hi neil. Right now, it's the calm before the (next) storm. It's very cold, 18F at the moment and overcast. Tomorrow morning, we'll be getting yet another storm, giving us an expected 9 to 12 more inches. At this point, I'm not going to worry about how much we'll get before Spring comes around, if it ever does. I'm going to stay inside and wait it out. We have plenty of food and everything else we could possibly need for at least the next week so I'm good. But, I would LOVE to be visiting you... NOW. LOL I really am sick of this winter. It has been colder than it has been in a long time, plus I cannot remember ever having this much snow. I'm afraid that, if I actually went ahead and got my passport and bought my airplane ticket, the airport would probably be cancelling flights because of the bad weather. They did that ahead of the last storm, they didn't even wait until after the snow had started to cancel flights which is the way they normally do it. Hopefully, I'll be able to travel this Spring or Summer. I'd love to meet you and your family and give little Zayzay a great big hug from his Auntie Marti! If I do get over that way, I'd also have to visit Hiccup while I'm on that side of the world. I might not want to come home, after seeing how beautiful it is in your country. It really is gorgeous!

Zayzay having fun with the waters - Zayzay here plays with the waters. Great shot, isn't it? :)
That would really make us so happy to see you coming over our place. And if that day will come, and you will decide to not come back, we will be too glad to welcome you and stay with us. It would be a great pleasure for me, personally. I heard it from the news last night, that another snow storm is coming, And that makes me more worried about you. At least now, that I heard from you, and that you are at least ready for at least the next week, I feel better now. At least, I heard Auntie Marti saying, "I'm Good". Zayzay, on the other hand, is doing good, at least at this moment. Though there are still some nights, especially if he goes so playful, too active in the day, that he will get a not so good sleep. Of course, if he sleeps like that, my wife and I will also get a not so good sleep. He has some colds right now. So we decided to bring him and Patrick to the beach. Some say it removes the colds and also coughing, if one will go swimming, especially at the beach. And Zayzay loves the water so much. There are lots of time that we had passed by the waters, he will asked her mom to bring him to the sea and will swim. He will say, "Dagat, dagat ma" (dagat is sea), "Ligo ko ma?" (I swim or he wants to play with the waters). Here's one photo of Zayzay playing with the waters, taken last Sunday.

i even told mentalward in one post, that if she can only share some of their snow and send them over here. our kids will be so happy to see snow and play with it. and i guess, even the young at heart like me, who haven't seen a single drop of it will be delighted. but not too much, please. and yes, if we can only exchange weathers, even for a short time. sending you another photo of our great weather today...

well, the picture just shows how the weather over here, a total reverse of the situation you have in America. i had a conversation with one of my friends here and gave me the situation at virginia. and when we actually measure the snow, as she mentioned, our measuring tape shows, it's going to be almost 60 inches by feb 19, if i am not mistaken... that makes me feel sad and worried about you guys, who now experience HEAVY SNOW.

I am very interested to hear about snow because I never lived in a place which snows. I have never seen snow other than in pictures. I live in a place which is hot almsot througout the year. So, it is difficult for me to visualize snow even if I see many picutures of it. It is nice to see that you experience snow. I live in India.

thanks for sharing daliaj. well, in the philippines, the weather is almost the same weather that you have there in india. that's why, sometimes, i have a guilty feelings for our friends in the US and other cold countries. they got snow and we have none. and not just snow, heavy snow, snow storms. if they can share the snow with us, i guess you will also be so willing to share them our sunny weather.

Hello neildc, It's a bit sunny here as well, but no beaches. I have never been on another long place rather than beaches here in Luzon, and that was a long long ago. I haven't been on the mactan, damn you are making us jealous here. it's been a while since i've been on a beach, maybe some day if it's possible i would have time to go there and bury myself in the sand

It's sunny noon here in CdeO Philippines. This morning from dawn to around 8 am, the weather was really so cold than usual and it soothes right through my skin and bones that I need to drink a hot choco and cover myself with a jacket. But now as I said, and just like yours there, the sun is up! The wind is a bit cold though. I was told that since temperature in China is so low and they are experiencing an extreme snowy season, the direction of the wind is going through the Philippines and that is the reason why it tends to be real cold. I wish the snow from china will be directed through the Philippines, but I guess it melts before it arrives. lol

yes, it's true. even if we have sunny days, dawn especially is so cold. that if you don't have a partner in the bed to hug, the coldest of the night might kill you. i had a talk with a friend from the US. and if she can send some of their snow, we in RP will be very happy to experience the snow and play with it. our kids will surely be the happiest kids if it happens. but i said, please don't send them all, only a part of it, to at least lessen their burden. but just like you have said, just before the snow gets in the philippine territories, they will all melt in the sky.

Wow, must be like a tropical paradise every day! Those are the kind of places that us Americans pay lots of money just to vacation at. Here in Michigan we're just getting the beginning of a storm that's supposed to bring us 8" to 12" within the next couple days. Can you say brrrrrrrrrrr......?
