well in my own opinion, the current and the greatest boxer is manny pacquiao.. he is the only boxer to have won all belts in different weight divisions.. he has a good proportion of his wins in ko's.. and of course who can forget him defeating oscar delahoya who was at that time the worlds top boxer.. so yeah i guess pacman is really climbing his way all to the top of the boxing world..

Take a look at Sugar Ray Robinson at youtube who fought like a 100+ fights with just a single defeat. I think pacquiao would not be able to beat that. De la hoya was quite old when they fought and not in his prime already.

@saintsinner being a great boxer doesnt mean that you will never be defeated.. a good boxer to me is one who can accept defeat and of course try his hardest to become number one again.. and to me pacman resembles that greatness in him.. he never forgets to pray before and after his fights.. and i have watched in the news in one of his interviews that he says that all his fights he dedicated to god his family and his country.. he is quite a good man.. the measure of greatness is not about what his record shows but the failures and successes that he had endured to be the great boxer that he is today..

@charm i agree with you.. greatness is never measured on how a man fights but on how he reacts upon reaching milestones of his success.. dont get me wrong, sugar ray was a great boxer as well but then we are entitled to our opinions.. and for me the greatest boxer is pacman..

I would give the credit to Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao because he has won 7 belt in different division and because of that he made a name all over the globe. Even though he's small but still he managed to be in that position now so for me he is the greatest boxer of all time.

A couple years ago ESPN did a story on the 50 greatest boxers of all time and Sugar Ray Robinson was #1. Mike Tyson made the list as well all the way at #50.
