lol.thats always my first respons e whenever sunny bhai says this.seriously which shot is risk free cover drive: get caught in the slip or played on to stumps or even bat-pad catch pull shot or hook: top edge caught or bad bounce bowled. flicking from pads: bowled or leg before or caught of a leading edge straight drive: caught by keeper or running your partner out. cut shot: caught behind or played on or caught at point leg glance: caught by keeper. upper-cut: get caught somewhere inside the ground so you see pretty much every shot has its risk and ss is the reward.the higher the risk, the higher the reward.

You are right. Every shot has a chance of batsman getting out. But Sunil Gavaskar knows more about saving Test Matches I guess. He has done it many times facing the best bowling attacks in the world. And Tendulkar's 241 not out against Australia was also discussed for 'how he avoided playing some shots to minimize the chances of the risk of getting out.' I think application, confidence, and technique bear more fruit than simply trying to avoid some shots. Happy Mylotting!
